Added tonight on its very own page under Big Kids’ Stuff is the work planner that Jgirl15 is using this year. A friend looked at it yesterday and noted the glaring absence of any mention of writing. We had overlooked this as our firstborn writes prolifically, and when she won a writing competition earlier this year, we must have figured she was doing OK! However, some of the others are less enthusiastic writers and so we have now included a writing component for when they come through the ranks. Whether we’ll hold them to it remains to be seen, but it does give us some direction (plus, we need to work out what to do with those guidelines when we believe in needs-based, interest-driven real life education).
